Married At First Star star Davina Rankin reveals 13kg weight loss after drastic surgery

And on Thursday, Married At First Sight star Davina Rankin revealed her incredible 13kg weight loss, which she believes she has shed following her operation.
Posting to her Instagram, the mother-of-one shared two images of herself taken 13 months apart - one when she still had her breast implants in and another following the surgery.

Davina told her 359,000 Instagram followers that in the past she was 'sad, depressed, insecure' and thought her implants were 'silently making her sick and tired'.

Share'I felt like everything was "too hard" and had no idea how to even start looking after myself again,' she explained.
She also revealed that Covid lockdowns had impacted her weight gain in 2021, which she described as 'one super sh**ty cocktail'.
However, following the removal of her implants in November, the brunette beauty said she was feeling 'more alive than I have in the last 12 years'.

Davina's emotional post comes three months after the former Zoo Magazine cover model opted to remove her implants due to years of suffering with symptoms associated with breast implant illness.
She admitted during an Instagram Q&A in December she was worried about removing a part of her body that once gave her so much confidence.
'I was actually preparing myself for the worst. Before I had implants, I had like, no boobs. So I was preparing myself for, like, a concave chest, basically,' the mother of one said.
'And my doctor was very straightforward with me. He's like, "It's not really going to be pretty at all to begin with, and you might be a bit sad and a bit disappointed. They might look a bit scary, they might be lopsided."'
However, Davina was pleasantly surprised with the outcome of her explant surgery.
'When I got my [surgical] drains out and got to see them for the first time... it didn't look like I'd actually had implants!' she said, adding: 'I didn't have overly saggy skin. There was no stretch marks.'
The reality TV star is convinced her new breasts are actually bigger than they were before getting implants, likely due to breastfeeding and age-related body changes.
She added: 'I actually don't hate them. I'm going shopping today and trying on clothes and stuff, and I like my little chest. It's like a novelty, something new.
'And I'm like, "Wow, I forgot there are so many more options out there that I can wear now that I have smaller boobs, instead of having my big D-sized boobs."'
Breast implant illness refers to a wide range of symptoms that can develop after undergoing reconstruction or cosmetic augmentation with breast implants.
Davina was featured on season five of Married at First Sight in 2018.
