Killed In Revenge?

Publish date: 2024-10-20

IF THE ST. LOUIS POLICE EVER find the man who gunned down Darnell (Boss Man) McGee in January, prosecutors may have a hard time convincing a jury the killing was a crime. McGee, 28, had the AIDS virus. He also had sex with scores of women and girls after learning he was a carrier. So far, public-health officials have interviewed 62 of his partners, ranging in age from 12 to 22. Twelve are HIV-positive. Some are pregnant, at least one has delivered an HIV-positive baby and one has had sex with about 50 men since being infected. Before his death, several women came forward to prosecute McGee for maliciously spreading the virus, but they backed down before trial. Police now think his killing might be revenge-related.
